Welcome

It all started in 2005, when a unique Christmas gift extended our passion for animals and nature into the Alpacas world. Two gorgeous alpacas, named Sharna and Marcelle came to live on our beautiful 31 acre property which was calling out for more furry friends.

One month later, we had our very first alpaca baby, Blitzen. From there we were head over heels in love, we couldn't get enough of everything to do with the amazing alpaca creatures and knew there was no turning back.  We progressed from the “girls”, added a few boys and currently have a small herd roaming our rolling hills and taking the occasional dip in the creek.

Situated in the picturesque and peaceful surrounds of Emerald, south-east of Melbourne in the Dandenong Ranges, our alpacas couldn't ask for a better environment to graze and enjoy life beneath the 120 foot trees alongside an array of native flora and fauna - as long as they dodge the wombat holes!

Here at Vermillion Fire Alpacas, we aim to share our passion for alpacas with you.  We truly feel alpacas are more than just animals, they are individual personalities with a versatile range of abilities and uses.  We love alpacas and even our four cats; Missy, Lucy, Sasha and Tiger J. Puss have come to adore their walks down the paddock to visit the gentle creatures.
